1-slim triangles and uniform hyperbolicity for arc graphs and curve graphs

We describe unicorn paths in the arc graph and show that they form 1-slim triangles and are invariant under taking subpaths. We deduce that all arc graphs are 7-hyperbolic. Considering the same paths in the arc and curve graph, this also shows that all curve graphs are 17-hyperbolic, including closed surfaces.

An infinite family of biquasiprimitive 2-arc transitive cubic graphs

A new infinite family of bipartite cubic 3-arc transitive graphs is constructed and studied. They provide the first known examples admitting a 2-arc transitive vertex-biquasiprimitive group of automorphisms for which the stabiliser of the biparts is not quasiprimitive on either bipart.

A Tur'an-type problem for circular arc graphs

A circular arc graph is the intersection graph of a collection of connected arcs on the circle. We solve a Turán-type problem for circular arc graphs: for n arcs, if m and M are the minimum and maximum number of arcs that contain a common point, what is the maximum number of edges the circular arc graph can contain? We establish a sharp bound and produce a maximal construction. For a fixed m, t...

Graphs of Curves on Infinite-type Surfaces with Mapping Class Group Actions

We study when the mapping class group of an infinite-type surface S admits an action with unbounded orbits on a connected graph whose vertices are simple closed curves on S. We introduce a topological invariant for infinite-type surfaces that determines in many cases whether there is such an action.
